Motivation

We all need motivation at some point in our lives. Motivation to turn in a paper, go to the gym, get out of bed, or log in to school. Some people’s motivation can be a pet or a person or even a fear. Motivation comes in many different forms and can look different for everyone. I had asked what keeps students motivated to do well in school and a common answer was graduating high school or not failing a year was what keeps them motivated. “The fear of failing my senior year keeps me motivated because I want to be successful in life and I want to go to a good college.”, Mariah a senior said.

When asked how students stay up to date and keep up with all their school work this is what Jasmine a junior said, “I catch up all my work from Monday and Tuesday on Wednesday and then work from Thursday and Friday over the weekend.”. Another student said, “It’s really hard to keep up and balance school with work and other personal things with teachers piling work. I try to work on papers the day they are assigned and then I work on them when I can through the week.”.

Some students are feeling the pressure of turning in everything on time and here’s some advice from fellow students at Riverbend. “My advice is to try to stay positive and get work done during these trying times finding, and happiness is the key to stay motivated”, Kayla a junior said. Another student also said, “The quicker you get it done the quicker you can move on and find something you want to conquer like focus on getting good grades so that you can graduate and go to college for something that you want to be successful in.”. It’s always a good idea to look forward to small achievements like turning in a paper for a class or finishing a quiz. Never be afraid to reach out to people for help.
