Super Bowl

Super+Bowl

2020 has been awful and everybody knows that. Not much has gone right. From people losing their lives to  their livelihood, nobody is happy about how 2020 turned out. Sports being back full time has brought some light to these times. And, coming on February 7th, is a sporting event that cheers people up every year, especially this year. The Super Bowl is upon us and the game is expected to be as exciting as ever. Two powerhouse football teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to battle on the gridiron until one is crowned world champion.

After last weekends’ AFC and NFC championship games, the Buccaneers shockingly came out on top against the Green Bay Packers, and the The Kansas City Chiefs ended the Buffalo Bills’ Cinderella story. It  is no surprise that the Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl with Patrick Mahomes, the newest phenom that the NFL has seen. After they took the Lombardi Trophy home last year, Mahomes and the Chiefs did not regress in any way. They are going to be favored and most people will be picking them to go back to back. On the other side, Tom Brady will be going to his tenth Super Bowl and trying to seek his seventh championship with his new squad, the Buccaneers. The Bucs were not expected to do well in Brady’s first year, but he once again proved everybody wrong and is looking to do it again on Super Bowl Sunday.

Huge Saints fan, Jacob Goldstein expected his team to make the Super Bowl in what is most likely their Hall of Fame Quarterback, Drew Brees’, last season. After the Buccaneers defeated the Saints in an upset, Jacob thought that the Buccaneers were going to lose the next game. This week, he thinks the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl.
