Set, Spike, Match!

The girls volleyball team has a record of 18-5 as of October 23rd. The team is full of strong spirits and each individual player is determined to play their best during every game. The girls practice hard every practice to develop a stronger team. They want to strengthen their teamwork attribute. Riverbend won against Colonial Forge, Massaponax, and Brooke Point, which were big rivals this year. Volleyball coach, Ms.Guengerich, said, “Next season will be very different because we will lose five seniors and our team will look up to those who have been on varsity for quite awhile now.” Junior Ezra Sims said, “I’m looking forward to next year’s season because it’ll be my senior year and our team has been working hard for the future.” The captains of the team are seniors Hannah Kerns, Hannah Marstellar, and Abby Crocker and are lead players for the team. Junior Baylor Dunlap said, “I look up to all of the captains because of all their dedication and hard work. They better our team with their leadership and inclusiveness.”
