Google will release their first smartphone on October 20, 2016 called the Pixel and the Pixel XL. Pre-orders started on October 4, 2016, with a starting price of $649 for the Pixel and $719 for the Pixel XL.  It is believed that the Pixel is made by HTC and not Nexus like other Google products.  Pixel is only available with Verizon.  The Pixel has a 5 inch display, which is a little bigger than the iPhone 7, and the Pixel XL is a 5.5 inch display, which is the size of the iPhone 7 Plus.  The bottom ⅔ of the back is metal and the top ⅓ is made of glass.  The back also has a fingerprint sensor to easily unlock your phone.

The Pixel phone has the best camera in any smartphone yet.  It has 12.3 MP for sharp images, large 1.55 μm pixels for low light photos and a f/20 aperture for bright photos.  The phone has unlimited photo storage because it automatically saves to google photos.  The phone comes in three colors: Very Silver, Quiet Black, and Really Blue.  This is the first phone ever to have its own Google assistance, which is the google version of Siri and Cortana.  The Pixel is also the first phone with Google duo, which is the Google version of facetime, with this you can video call with android and iOS users easily.  In 15 minutes you can have a charge that will hold for 7 hours.  The google Pixel is made for virtual reality.
