Recently in Spotsylvania County, new businesses and eateries have sprung up and attracted much attention from citizens of all ages. One of the most popular for students at RHS, is the new clothing liner Gabe’s, which sells affordable clothing of all styles. Another new store is Sweet Frog, which sells frozen yogurt for a variety of flavors.
Gabe’s moved into the vacant location that used to have a Giant. The company is based in Morganstown, West Virginia. This will be the second location in Virginia. According to Fredericksburg.com, the CEO Ken Siepal said, “Fredericksburg will be a fantastic addition to the Gabe’s family of stores.” Gabe’s sells apparel to all ages, with athletic, casual, and formal attire. On opening day, Gabes had massive attendance that disrupted traffic on route three.
In addition, at Harrison Crossing, is the frozen yogurt restaurant known as Sweet Frog. Before the opening, which took place over the summer, there were two other locations; near the University of Mary Washington and Cosner Corner in Massaponax. Sweet Frog is an innovative yogurt place that sets up its prices based on the weight of the bowl. Customers can choose which flavors and toppings they want from a variety of options. Senior Shona Sulzbach, who works at Sweet Frog in Harrison Crossing, said,” I love working at Sweet Frog because it’s Christian, and I love the ice cream.”
Both stores offer different but convenient outlets for all consumers in the Spotsylvania area. In addition to these stores, there is a Mcdonalds in the process of being built that is opening across the street from Harrison Crossing.
