2015 was a remarkable year that brought amazing events.  In early February, we got to see a Superbowl for the ages, as the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Glendale, Arizona.  We then got to see the Golden State Warriors, led by Stephen Curry, defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers. In hockey, the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Tampa Bay Lightning. The pro sports world concluded with the Kansas City Royals rout of the New York Mets in the MLB World Series.

The biggest movie of the year was Jurassic World, with Chris Pratt, which opened in June. Also in June, Disney Pixar explored emotions in Inside Out. The title for biggest movie though may be surpassed with the coming of Star Wars: the Force Awakens.  We also saw the second part of the Divergent series which was Insurgent. T.V also got popular additions, most notably Empire. There is also a new Muppets show.

The music industry also came out with popular songs including, Hot Line Bling by Drake, Can’t Feel My Face by the Weekend, Drag Me Down by One Direction, and finally What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber.

In June, the Supreme Court voted that same-sex-marriage will be legal across the country. Caitlyn Jenner came out as a transgender woman who served as an icon for transgender rights.  The presidential primaries caught attention for next year, most notably with countless interesting Donald Trump statements.

2015 was a year that will not be soon forgotten, and we should look forward to all the wonders that 2016 will bring.
