Louisiana Flood

A huge flood hit the southern parts of  Louisiana one of the longest in state history March ninth through fourteenth of 2016. The last time the state of Louisiana suffered a flood was the eighth through tenth of May in 1995. The most recent damaged stores, cars and houses. Also, the flood claimed at least six lives in the process and more than 4,958 houses were destroyed.The rivers rose from 12 to 21 feet deep and at least 30,000 gallons of water were flowing downstream per second taking out everything in its path. Along with the destruction, comes the reconstruction. There are still a lot of debris, broken trees, and damaged houses. The lowest point in Louisiana is eight feet below sea level.
