Hunger Games
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 was number one over Thanksgiving weekend at box office. From Friday to Sunday, the movie made 51.6 million dollars. The movie was based off the book series The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Mockingjay, the book, was split into two movies to fit all the information in in a reasonable time.
On Rotten Tomatoes, a website made to show reviews on movies, Mockingjay Part 2 received a 70% from critics. The audience on Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie 72%.
I have never read any of the books from the series, but from my point of view I think that it was a spectacular ending. Also, the movie was very well put together. Everything made sense and the quality of special effects was amazing.
Daniel Monroe, a RHS junior who had read the book, said the opposite though. Monroe said ‘[the movies were] not as good [as the book]. It was a short book, and splitting it into two movies dragged it out which made it more boring than it should’ve been.”
There were various opinions on the final movie of The Hunger Games series. Although hearing what others think of a movie before you see it can be a good idea, you should still go watch it for yourself to form your own opinion!
