Music is defined as vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. Music is a big part in high school life for many students and for most student earphones are almost a priority to bring to school. A lot of students listen to different genres, artists, bands, and songs. Around The Bend took a poll asking “what is currently your favorite genre of music?” as the ‘Other’ category dominated getting 82 votes out of 200 votes. ‘Pop’ music category coming in second with 57 votes out of 200. All the remaining category votes finishing below 20. A majority of the votes for ‘Favorite Artist/Band’ were for Fetty Wap, Twenty-One Pilots, and The Weeknd. In terms of the apps people use to access their favorite music are YouTube, Spotify, and Pandora.
