The pep rally on Friday kicked off the final stretch for homecoming on Saturday. The cheerleaders hosted the pep rally this year. They helped with the games and helped the homecoming spirit grow higher.
Bebe Blalock, 12, was one of the cheerleaders on the microphone.
“We will be announcing the games and the instructions. Then, the cheerleaders will choose some people from the bleachers… there are different relays and some games with teachers too.” Blalock explained how most of the pep rally was going to go.
After the choir sang the national anthem, sideline cheer started their performance doing their cheers, chants, and a dance following with stunts.
After the sideline cheer was finished, the games began.
The first game was the “Hula Hoop Pass Relay”. The sophomore’s won the game. The next game was the “Cup and Noodle Game” which was also won by the sophomores.
Following the two games, the competition cheer team performed their 2025 routine.
More games and competitions continued which was eventually followed by the step team performance.
“It really gets us engaged and including students in different games is really important because it gets people really excited and gets people more involved for the game Friday night and the Homecoming dance on Saturday. It’s really exciting.” Bebe Blalock explained the importance of the pep rally.
The seniors were given the spirit stick and were the overall winners of the pep rally.
