Every year Riverbend does a homecoming court for any bears that want to be a King or Queen. The students get to put up posters or anything they need to get their information out. And they share the news with other students to get students to vote for them. The night at the bonfire is when students were able to find out what students won for the homecoming court.
Freshman winners were, Tinsley Bishop, Arshiya Khan, and Avery Owens. Sophomore winners were Adrien Picot, Mack Ames, and Alice Moore. Junior winners were Audrey Boetig, Alice Gay, and Joshua Lautenschlager. Senior winners were, Leyliana Thomas, Hayle Turner, and Bebe Blalock.
Congratulations to the bears who won homecoming court. Let’s hear some of the students’ views on winning. Adrien Picot explained how he ran for the experience of it all. He continued to say, “I feel great about it because it’s such a great opportunity and because I had a lot of support.”
Another one of the winners, Alice Gay, also explained the reason why she ran. “I just did it for fun.”
Bears continue to get involved in activities and events that go on at Riverbend. You never know, there are maybe some things that are here for you that you may enjoy. And if you are just not that person, support others that are involved, so the Riverbend Community will continue to grow!
